Of course this came as a revelation to me, as I was watching a recent episode of The Henry Rollins show. I have always thought Amanda has a tinge of Joplin's power in her, and If she was so inclined with the acting bug, I think she would make an amazing Janis Joplin for the upcoming Bio movie from Penelope Spheris (Decline of the Western Civilization 1, 2, and 3, Wayne's World, Little Rascals, Beverly Hillbillies, etc.).
After hearing that PINK was the first choice and fell through and that Penelope was so desperate for a Lead who can sing that she contacted BRITNEY SPEARS??? YIKES!
I'm telling you Amanda..if you were ever interested in acting, maybe contact Penelope Spheris and send her your music. Of course I have no idea if you can act, but we ALL KNOW that you can definately belt it out, and with the help of Hollywood, I'm sure they can ugly you up to look like her (might be tough though!).
At writing, I think she is still looking, and this may even be an amazing way to take the career to the next level ? I'm pretty sure whoever plays Janis in the movie (which I am sure will have some $$$ behind it in Hollywood) is in for bigger things. I'd love to see Amanda on the big screen..how bout you folks???
